Post Time:2019-06-03Author:f2c

Shenzhen Special Zone News (Reporter Wu Dequn Correspondent Zhang Zhiguo) Shenzhen Customs revealed yesterday that the customs has been strengthening the import food safety supervision and continued to promote the "imported food safety and security project." According to statistics, in 2018, Shenzhen Customs sampled 3,727 imported food samples, completed 56,000 inspection projects, and detected 42 batches of foods that were not qualified for safety projects and were allowed to enter the country, totaling 83.9 tons. The unqualified imported foods detected shall be disposed of strictly in accordance with regulations to prevent entry into the mainland market.

It is reported that the number of foods such as rice, preserves, wine, honey, pastry biscuits, infant formula, meat, bird's nest, beverages, tea, fruits and vegetables, cigarettes imported by Shenzhen Port are among the highest in the country. The unqualified foods that Shenzhen Customs has detected are not allowed to enter the country. They are from 16 countries or regions, involving 13 types of products, mainly biscuits, beverages, chocolates, condiments, alcohols, teas, etc. The project includes unqualified food additives, microbial contamination, unqualified quality, excessive mycotoxins, unqualified labels, and failure to provide certificates as required.

Shenzhen Customs adheres to the source of governance, strictly adheres to the “access permit” for exporting food countries and regions in China, “registered customs” for overseas food production enterprises, and “documentation and customs clearance” for import and export of foods to China. Imports of foreign food that are not eligible for admission are strictly prohibited. At the same time, strengthen the inspection of imported foods to prevent unqualified foods from entering the Chinese market.

All unqualified foods such as unqualified microbes, unqualified food additives, unqualified contaminants, and unqualified quality will be destroyed or returned. This level particularly strengthens the supervision of sensitive imported foods with a large demand for meat, alcohol, infant milk powder and so on. 100% of the nuclear radiation safety problems of Japanese imported foods that consumers care about, and 100% of the inspections are from the counties that are not allowed to import, and whether they are accompanied by the certificate of origin.

It is worth mentioning that Shenzhen Customs expresses, implied that it has efficacy or contains certain ingredients for the import of ordinary food packaging, and uses medical terms such as “treatable” and “preventable”. If there is false propaganda, it will not be imported. Strictly review the functional claims, infant claims, organic certification, and certificate of origin of infant milk powder, imported red wine, etc., whether it is true according to relevant national standards, and severely crack down on deceptive behavior.
