Food2China Expo 2019 were successfully held in Hall 15.2-16.2, Area C, China Import & Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China, on September 19-21, 2019. Following the success of previous editions, the scale of the Expo hit a new record. With an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, it has attracted nearly 800 exhibitors and brands from 28 countries and regions, and the number of professional visitors reached 29164 person-times, which constituted a more professional and higher-level feast in the industry. Food2China Expo has become an indispensable platform for enterprises in China imported food industry.
A WONDERFUL SHOW WITH PROFOUND PERFORMANCE
As the only professional exhibition focusing on imported food in China, Food2China Expo has become the first choice for overseas food companies to enter the Chinese market. 61% of the exhibitors and brands were overseas companies and 39% were Chinese importers. Among the overseas exhibitors, Southeast Asian companies occupied the biggest part, accounting for 39% of the total. The exhibition has been recognized by the overwhelming majority of exhibitors. 83% of exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the expo, and 88% considered to have their presence in the next exhibition.
There were more than 3,000 kinds of products, including snacks, condiments, seafood, meat, fruit, wine and coffee, from 28 countries, including Russia, Thailand, India, South Korea, and so on at the exhibition, attracting purchasers from all over China. Among these products, snacks accounted for the largest, about 29% of the total, followed by meat and seafood (17%), and wine and beer (15%).
The exhibition has specially set up National Pavilions section, snacks section, wine and beer section, food and condiment section, healthy food section, coffee & equipment section and third-party service section, etc., covering extremely rich product categories and services. The exhibition attracted a total of 16420 key purchasers from 34 provinces and regions of China, who came from imported food industry, hotel catering industry, retail and supermarket, etc. The number of visits reached 29164, with a year-on-year growth of 8%, which was a new record in history.
DIVERSE ACTIVITIES WITH LIMITLESS CHARM
In addition to the superb collection of imported food, there were 6 forums and promotion events, as well as more than 10 professional business matching events being held during the Expo, which have become the most eye-catching highlights of the exhibition. With the theme of “New Changes in the Industry", 2019 Food To China Forum invited several well-known experts and companies’ leaders in the industry to share practical and useful information, and to jointly explore the reform and development of the industry. VIP Buyers Program at the Expo has been further upgraded, greatly improving the efficiency of business discussion for companies with several state-level food business matching meetings. Furthermore, the Bank & Meat Imported Companies Business Matching Meeting, Ray Jordan's Wine Guide - West Australian Wine X Port Wine Day, Guangzhou International Coffee Cup Tasters Competition and other activities also attracted numerous visitors.
Food2China Expo 2020 will be held from September 24th to 26th, China Import & Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China. The exhibition area will be expanded to 25,000 square meters. It is expected to attract over 900 enterprises and brands from more than 30 countries and welcome over 35,000 visitors. There will be various sections for different products at the exhibition, to display high-quality and delicious food from all over the world. Nowadays, China's imported food industry has entered a new development period. Food2China Expo will follow the trend and upgrade continuously, so as to provide a high-quality and efficient platform for more companies in the industry.
