Since nine years ago when it started to be held in Panyu, Guangzhou International Gourmet Festival has become a well-known food and cultural festival in Guangzhou.

In order to fully implement the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Cantonese food culture will be carried forward on the premise of the fulfillment of regular epidemic prevention and control measures, so as to polish the gold-lettered signboard Eating in Guangzhou and make Guangzhou International Gourmet Festival 2020 a food festival imbued with cultural elements of the Greater Bay Area, which integrates online with offline and jointly promotes catering and other industries, by further promoting the "Cantonese Cuisine Chef" Project, strengthening food exchanges between Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao,  and carrying forward local food culture, building the world's gastronomic city together with its counterpart cities in Guangdong.

This year's Gourmet Festival will set up a special international food area for FINE FOOD TO CHINA organized by Guangdong Imported Food Association and FOOD2CHINA E-commerce Platform: special areas for imported food as well as a featured state-theme pavilion will be set up in the main venue of Clifford Wonderland, providing internationalized characteristics of food culture and highlighting the international elements of the food festival.

Representative food from different countries together with creative performances of cultural tourism of different countries will be shown here.

FOOD2CHINA invites consulates and business associations at home and abroad to bring diverse and colorful world culture to the Guangzhou people by means of combining cultural and tourism with food, where it also integrates all sorts of interesting elements at the same time. Super diversified interactive scene will take the spotlight together with splendid and ubiquitous brand output. Spiciness, crispiness, sweetness and sourness all embody into one, which will bring you extraordinary enjoyment of taste. Whether it be a 3-year-old innocent child, or a 70-year-old but still vibrant elders, can share happiness here and enjoy food and fun from all over the world.

• Imported Food Tasting & Retail Area

Guangdong Imported Food Association in cooperation with the FOOD2CHINA platform organized its member importer enterprises and overseas brand parties to exhibit specialty foods of different countries.

Different brand product areas will be set up inside and outside the venue, and the booths will be arranged according to the national product image. Meanwhile, tasting areas will be set up for the brand image display so as to comprehensively showcase the richness of brand products and improve brand communication.

High-quality imported food covers leisure snacks, ingredients and seasonings, beer, wine, health drink, health food, coffee and tea, agricultural products, aquatic products, and other food and beverage sectors, such as fresh food from Australia, Turkish desserts, British beer, wafer biscuit, confectionery and sweets, Polish fruit juice, Italian olive oil, leisure snacks from Thailand, Korean nori, Korean Ginseng, Malaysian durian, New Zealand ice cream, fresh fruit from Peru, Chilean seafood, wine, Indonesia coffee, Sri Lanka black tea, French wine, pasta, coffee, and so forth.

Besides representatives of manufacturers from different countries and regions around the world, FOOD & FUN TO CHINA will also invite many representatives and officials from embassies and consulates in Guangzhou to attend the event.

• Chinese and Western Ingredient Cooking Display Area

As Food without borders, both Chinese and Western cuisines will be displayed in this area, with an aim to promote positive connections between countries, chefs, culinary schools and other food professionals. Through the recommendation and introduction of western food materials, the combination of Chinese and western food tastes will be interpreted under the creativity and cooking of chefs, while healthy cooking methods spread to thousands of households in Guangzhou with the help of media publicity and communication. FOOD2CHINA will invite representative western restaurants and chefs, together with schools, and provide a stage for on-site food lovers to communicate and create ideas.
