Food2China signed an agreement with MEXCHAM!Congratulations!

Last November 6th, 2019 the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) hosted the opening ceremony of the first permanent Mexican Center for promoting products, business development and operation management (hereinafter Mexican Pavilion).

During the opening ceremony Pablo Aguayo, General Secretary of MEXCHAM welcomed the guest.

Victor Cadena, Executive Vice President of MEXCHAM, remarked the importance of international trade between China and Mexico, given that China is Mexico's second largest trading partner worldwide (just after the USA) while for China, Mexico is its second largest trading partner in Latin America (just after Brazil). Mr. Cadena also pointed out the role of MEXCHAM for the last 12 years as promoter of trade and investments between both countries.

 


As special guest, Graciela Marquez, Ministry of Economy of Mexico, remarked the old history of both countries and their complementarities, mentioning that the Mexican Pavilion will be a permanent bridge for supporting trade in benefit of both countries.

Among the special guest were Jose Luis Bernal, Ambassador of Mexico in China as well as Lorena Larios, General Consul of Mexico in Shanghai.

 



On other hand, Zhang Yun, Greenland Group Executive President, mentioned their recent visit to Mexico and their plans to consolidate strategic alliances in sectors as retail and real estate.

Yonanetl Zavala, President of MEXCHAM at Shanghai’s Chapter, explained the scope of the Mexican Pavilion in Shanghai as a platform not only for exhibiting products, but also as a hub of operations and management for imported products, services, government support and cultural exchanges.

In addition MEXCHAM signed MOU with different companies and associations for promoting,investments and cultural exchanges between Mexico and China.


 

Afterwards the guests visited the Mexican Pavilion for ribbon cutting.

Finally, the guest enjoyed cocktail and appetizers celebrating the opening ceremony of the Mexican Pavilion.
